Chapter 14 Title 33 LADEQ

Overview:  This class is designed for the awareness level only. This course is designed for the person that wants to know the hazards of NORM. This course will cover subjects such as where NORM comes from, How to identify possible NORM areas, How to protect self from NORM.

Course Required by:  Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality for persons working in areas with possible NORM contamination and OSHA (persons working in the area of possible NORM contamination)

Prerequisites:  None required.

Written Exam:  SMS requires a minimum score of 70%.  Incorrectly answered questions will be reviewed with student to ensure understanding before completion of course.

Retraining:  If employee changes job or performance indicated need for retraining.
