CPR Healthcare Provider Refresher
Course Length: 4 hours
Course Description: The American Heart Association's BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.

Pre-requisite(s): None
Course Objectives: Upon completion of this training the student will be familiar with:
- Recall the basic steps of CPR for adults, children, and infants
- Demonstrate the basic steps of CPR for adults, children, and infants
- Perform rescue breathing
- Administer breaths using a bag-valve mask device and pocket face mask
- Perform CPR as a lone rescuer or as part of a two rescuer team
- Demonstrate the appropriate procedure and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
Written Exam: AHA requires a minimum written score of 85% to receive a course completion card.
Retraining: AHA "re-certification" requires renewal once every two years. → Back to course listing
