Effective September 1, 2008, all workers with access to secure areas within oil and gas related industries must have in their possession a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).  The TWIC program is a vital security measure that will ensure individuals who pose a threat do not gain unescorted access to secure areas of the nation's maritime transportation system.

If you are considering employment with SMS, in the Oil and Gas Industry, you must have a TWIC to be considered. Or, you must have a specific timeframe of when the credential will be obtained.
