Safety Management Systems (SMS) operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Acadian Ambulance Service. Acadian began providing on-site medical services to the offshore industry in 1981 on a limited scale. To meet the demands of an ever-changing petroleum industry, the concept of offshore paramedics has dramatically evolved into what we now call Safety Management Systems to include safety, environmental and training services as well. SMS is a sole-source option for a vast array of health, safety, and environmental applications. Our fundamental strategy is to attract and retain highly professional people, place our customers foremost in all decision making, continue to invest in advanced technologies to render a higher quality service, and to give back to the communities where we work and live through volunteerism and financial support.
